Photo magazine "frgmens" Issue #02.25. Available as a print edition (24 pages, color and black & white) or as a PDF download.
Exposed breath. Sprocket hole photography – a visual language beyond the ordinary. In sprocket hole photography, the 35mm film is exposed right to the edges. Where the image would normally end, the perforations open like small windows into another dimension. Fragmented frames. Disorganized order. The Sprocket Rocket from Lomography was built to make room for precisely these moments – those that deviate from the norm and are effective precisely because of that.
These open edges of the image provide space for contrasts: vibrant nature meets urban dreariness. Organic forms juxtapose cold concrete. A constant dialogue between opposite poles—between stillness and movement, chance and composition. Amidst the perforations, aesthetic opposites remain in equilibrium for a moment. A visual quest for balance. Harmony as a hopeful utopia.
The print edition is hand-signed, numbered and limited to 25 copies.
