The Risograph is an environmentally friendly, original Japanese printing machine. The Riso prints with ink based on soy and rice bran oil, the print masters are made of hemp or banana leaf fibers.
In Europe, Riso is relatively unknown despite its many advantages, although its
unique original colors. It is most comparable to screen printing. However, the Riso is much faster and does not require any chemicals. Awarded the Energy Star, Risography is probably the most environmentally friendly copying technique.
The richly colored original print is suitable for illustration, typography, graphic design, publishing and artistic productions. The A3-sized paper can weigh between 60 and 350 g/m2. The paper must be uncoated so that the color layer can be easily absorbed and dried.
